"To me Rowing isn't just a sport it is a passion and the Crew isn't only a team but a family. Over the years I have grown to love Rowing for the complex entity that it is; a sport so demanding and painful yet so alluring and cathartic. It is really astounding how I lived most of my life knowing nothing about the sport, and now that I do, I can't picture my life without it. I've suffered countless injuries and did more MRI's than I'd like to because of this sport. However, I wouldn't have it any other way. Pushing the limits, persisting excruciating pain, waking up at 5 am and enduring all the hardships presented by this sport has become an addiction. Loving this sport would seem like madness, but hey it makes me feel alive."
