"There’s something both soothing and motivating about being on the water. You force yourself out of bed in cold winter dawns and just when your feet hit the boat you get that triumphant feeling and realize how much it was worth it. I have gained so much from joining this team. It allowed me to break many limits everyday as a rower and an architect. I understood that pain is just temporary; “Push a little harder and you’ll relax later but with a medal” “Stay awake a little longer and you’ll sleep as much as you want when you’re done with that project”. It’s an everlasting fight with your mind. In the end, you will never reach something without fighting for it over and over again."
